Dynamic Adds Coinbase Onramp Support with One Toggle

April 25, 2025

TL;DR: Dynamic’s wallet SDK now supports Coinbase Onramp—letting developers embed fiat-to-crypto funding flows directly in-app. Onboarding into web3 just got smoother. Dynamic, the powerful authentication and wallet SDK, now supports Coinbase Onramp—letting developers embed fiat-to-crypto purchases directly in their apps with no extra code. With this new integration, apps using Dynamic can allow users to fund wallets via debit cards, bank transfers, or Coinbase balances—all without leaving the app. It’s powered by Coinbase Developer Platform’s Onramp API, and it’s available today with a single toggle in the Dynamic dashboard.

Why This Matters: Better Onboarding = Better Retention

By combining Dynamic’s plug-and-play wallet infrastructure with Coinbase’s fiat onramp, developers can enable seamless crypto funding in just a few lines of code. Typically, setting up wallet funding means stitching together third-party onramps, managing redirects, and building custom flows—all of which slow down shipping and create friction for users.

Now, that complexity disappears. With a single toggle in the Dynamic dashboard, developers can embed fiat-to-crypto funding directly into their app’s UI—whether it’s part of onboarding, a fallback when wallets are empty, or a top-up button in settings. Users can fund wallets with Apple Pay, debit cards, bank transfers, or Coinbase balances—without leaving the app. It’s production-ready, configurable out of the box, and fully integrated into Dynamic’s SDK—no extra work required.

“Bringing Coinbase Onramp into Dynamic is a big win for developers and users. With just a few clicks, any app can tap into the world’s most trusted fiat rails and get users onchain fast,” adds Dan Kim, VP of Business Development at Coinbase Developer Platform. “This is how we make web3 feel like web2, but better.”

How It Works

In your Dynamic dashboard, just toggle on “Coinbase Onramp.” That’s it.

Behind the scenes, the integration uses CDP’s Onramp API to handle everything from KYC and compliance to payment processing and wallet delivery. No need to manage separate onramp vendors, set up callbacks, or build out fiat UX—Dynamic and CDP take care of it.

Features include:

  • Fund wallets using debit/credit cards, bank transfers, and Coinbase balances

  • Customizable look and feel of the flow to match any app

  • Everything handled in-app, no external redirects

  • Support for users in 130+ countries from day one

Developers can customize Dynamic’s deposit UI by modifying the Coinbase Onramp URL, allowing them to force a default payment method—such as debit card—in just a few lines of code.

Built on Coinbase Onramp API

Dynamic’s integration is powered by CDP’s Onramp widget—a lightweight, embeddable component that connects fiat payment rails to any web3 wallet. It’s a fully hosted Coinbase experience, embedded directly into your app with just a few lines of code.

Developers can also use the Onramp API directly for custom integrations, fully branded flows, or non-wallet destinations (like smart contract deposits or treasury funding). Whether you want something plug-and-play or fully bespoke, CDP gives you both flexibility and scale.
