Gooning is a slang term referring to a sexual practice that involves a person masturbating to pornography for prolonged periods of time without climaxing (a process known as "edging") in order to achieve "the goon," a so-called sensation of full mental numbness and dissociation from anything unrelated to the process. Starting in late 2022, the practice started gaining widespread recognition online, inspiring memes and references about Goon Caves and Gooning Kits. We decided this phenomenon required an updated and upgraded version of 'The Coomer' to go with it. We call him 'The Gooner', and we created him ourselves. Notice the more withered/damaged features, hollow eyes and the general sense of his descent into the darkness and the void. We like to think of the Gooner as the advanced stage Coomer, who is far, far past the point of no return.
