Agents in Action Hackathon: Meet the Winners Powering the Future of Autonomous Payments

TL;DR The CDP Agents in Action Hackathon challenged devs to use x402, CDP Wallet, and AgentKit and included tracks from AWS, Akash and Pinata. Winning projects included decentralized payroll systems, protocol fee routers, and pay-per-use marketplaces.
The Agents in Action Hackathon, hosted by Coinbase Developer Platform, brought together hundreds of builders to create the next wave of autonomous, onchain applications using x402, CDP Wallet, and AgentKit.
Over the course of two weeks, developers shipped agentic apps that didn’t just reason — they charged, paid, and coordinated value across APIs, wallets, and compute. From decentralized payroll to protocol fee routers and pay-per-use marketplaces, these winning projects showcase what happens when AI meets programmable payments.
We’re thrilled to spotlight the winners across four major challenge tracks: Coinbase, AWS, Akash, and Pinata.

What’s Next for these teams?
Many of these teams will go on to present their work at the AWS Demo Day and continue building with support from the CDP ecosystem. Several are already exploring next steps with partners, grant programs, and deeper integration across Coinbase Developer Platform.
