The Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) Builder Grants program is back for Summer 2025. This season, we’re awarding $30,000 in funding to support developers building user-facing, onchain applications using CDP Wallets, Onramp, and our new Swap API. We’re looking for teams ready to ship — not just explore — and we’re excited to see what you build with these core tools.
The CDP Builder Grants program is designed to support and accelerate the development of innovative onchain applications by providing funding, resources, and direct access to the CDP team. The goal is to drive adoption of the latest CDP tools while surfacing high-leverage use cases, integrations, and community-led extensions.
For Summer 2025, we’re shifting the focus from experimentation to execution. We’re especially interested in working apps that demonstrate:
Seamless integration of CDP Wallets into user flows
Intuitive fiat-to-crypto onboarding powered by Onramp
Simple, secure token swaps embedded using our new Swap API
Whether you’re building something new or expanding an existing project with CDP integration, this program is designed to reward projects that push toward productization.
What we’re looking for
This round is about utility. We’re looking for projects that put CDP tools to work in real user experiences — whether that means embedding wallets into agents, bots, or payment flows; integrating Onramp to make it seamless for users to go from fiat to crypto; or building applications that incorporate token swaps directly into their interface. We also welcome tools, SDKs, plugins, or templates that make it easier for other developers to adopt and build with CDP.
Your project doesn’t need to be full-featured — but it should be functional. This is a grants program for teams who are building.
Still need inspiration? Here are some base ideas for projects that use CDP tools:
CDP Wallets – Build a smart treasury agent that auto-distributes USDC to contributors based on DAO votes or GitHub activity, using programmable wallets for each recipient.
Onramp – Create a crypto tipping extension for content creators that lets fans fund wallets instantly via Onramp, without needing to leave the app or already hold crypto.
Swap API – Add a swap drawer inside a mobile game that lets users trade earned tokens for onchain assets or stablecoins, using the Swap API to handle the exchange behind the scenes.
What is the grant amount?
This cycle, we’ll be awarding up to $30,000 in total funding across selected teams. Most grants will fall into the $3,000–$10,000 range depending on stage, depth of integration, and readiness to ship.

All applications will be reviewed by the CDP team and scored using the following criteria:

How to apply
Grant applications are open here from June 26 to August 14, 2025. If selected, grants will be distributed shortly after winners are announced. We’ll also follow up with select teams to schedule a short onboarding session and feature your project on social channels.
