It aims to provide a decentralized and scalable blockchain solution with the potential to support a high number of on-chain transactions per second (TPS). QuarkChain is a public chain that can support multiple consensuses, transaction models, ledgers, and token economics in one network. The network supports two consensus algorithms, PoW and PoSW (a combination of PoS+ PoW), and is EVM-compatible, meaning every DApp deployed on Ethereum can also be deployed on QuarkChain.
QuarkChain operates on a two-layered structure and encourages individual miners with different levels of capability to mine directly without joining mining pools. People can choose to mine either in the root chain or in the shard. QuarkChain supports Native token which enables each shard to have its own token economics. It also supports scalable cross-shard transactions. Only one account is required to access entire resources in all shards, and smart wallets simplify the management. QuarkChain aims to support a high number of on-chain transactions per second (TPS) and has already reached a peak of 55,000+ TPS in a competition held within the community.
