Riot Racers (RIOT) is a play-to-earn (P2E) car racing gaming platform where participants own parts of the game. According to the whitepaper, participants can earn by playing a game or holding the parts of the game. All ownable parts are sustainable acknowledged non-fungible tokens (NFT). The Riot Racers network aims to create a system that constantly increases new players getting into the game. Also, the platform seeks to incentivize existing players to resume playing the game and interacting in the ecosystem.
The RIOT is the native token and game currency of the Riot Racers protocol. The token controls Riot Racers, Riot Metaverse, and upcoming games Riot Rampage and Riot Rush. Participants are permitted to purchase game assets, pay for actions in the game, earn staking rewards, claim rewards, and participate in the racer council. RIOT is a fungible ERC-20 token designed by deploying a widely used standard smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain. Smart contracts are like regular contracts, but instead of being drafted on paper, these contracts operate in the form of protocols on the blockchain. The RIOT token and the utility are created to upgrade the game's play to improve the use of the token and the game assets.
In short, the more the game is played, the more tokens are utilized. Gas is required to enter races, so the foremost step for participants is to purchase gas with RIOT tokens from a virtual gas station. RIOT tokens pass over to the Polygon network, a 2nd layer chain to Ethereum, and payments are made using RIOT tokens on the ETH mainnet.
