TL;DR We’ve upgraded Coinbase Developer Platform docs with four new AI features and an interactive API playground. Now developers can get real-time help, test APIs live, and build onchain faster with AI-powered tools built right into the docs.

Today, we’re launching powerful new AI features to Coinbase Developer Platform’s documentation, along with an interactive API playground, both designed to make building onchain faster and easier than ever.

AI-native docs are the new normal. Not just for reading, they’re designed to be crawlable by large language models (LLMs) to unlock deeper AI-powered understanding and assistance. This lets developers of all skill levels, including those who prefer vibe coding or less technical workflows, move quickly and confidently.

At the core of this upgrade are four new AI features powered by Mintlify: LLM-optimized content, one-click export to AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude, MCP server generation to connect your tools directly with our docs, and a built-in AI assistant that delivers contextual answers and real-time guidance.

We’ve also added a new API playground, where you can test endpoints live without leaving the page. Combined, the AI tools and playground deliver a seamless, hands-on experience that dramatically speeds up your path from concept to onchain launch.

AI-Powered Documentation Tools

We’ve integrated AI tools seamlessly into your workflow to boost usability and productivity. This includes LLM-optimized documentation formats, one-click export to popular AI platforms, quick MCP server generation, and a built-in AI assistant for real-time support.

1. Easy export to AI tools like Cursor or Claude: With one click, copy markdown versions of our documentation directly into popular AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude. This lets you quickly ask detailed questions, generate code snippets, or explore complex API usage without switching between multiple sources.

2. Quick MCP server creation: Instantly generate an MCP server for our docs using a simple command (npx mint-mcp add coinbase), allowing AI tools like Cursor, and Claude to directly query all of Coinbase Developer Platform’s documentation. This enables deeper, real-time AI interactions across our entire docs site, making it easier to get precise answers and automate workflows. More CDP API V2 endpoints are coming soon too.

3. CDP Native AI Assistant: Get answers and real-time guidance right within the docs. Whether you need help troubleshooting, exploring features, or vibe-coding new integrations, the assistant supports you instantly - so you can keep building without disruption or endless searching.

4. LLM-optimized content: Our documentation is automatically available in structured text files like /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt, making it easy for large language models to read, index, and understand. This means AI tools can quickly find and process accurate information from our docs, enabling smarter, faster developer assistance and automation - with no hallucinations or inaccuracies.

Interactive API Documentation

The new API Playground lets you explore and experiment with Coinbase Developer Platform’s APIs directly within the documentation. You can authenticate and run live requests in real time, test different endpoints, and see immediate responses.For example, you might quickly fetch wallet balances, create transactions, or query blockchain data right from the playground to validate your integration as you build.

This hands-on approach reduces guesswork and accelerates development by letting you verify API behavior before writing code. Together, the playground and AI tools create a seamless, interactive environment that speeds your journey from concept to onchain product.
