CDP Server Wallets: Now available to all
TL;DR CDP Server Wallets are now in GA: ultra-fast, self-custodied wallets with advanced policy controls, enterprise-grade security, and support for both EVM and Solana. Built for high-throughput apps and agents.
Today, we’re excited to announce the general rollout of Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) Server Wallets - our most powerful wallet for developers building high-throughput, highly secure applications and agents.
With Server Wallets, builders get programmable wallets with sub-200ms signing latency, 99.9% availability, and fine-grained policy controls, richer Solana support, and advanced security options.
Try it out today.
What’s new
Since the beta release, we’ve incorporated feedback from builders and added some major improvements across the stack, making Server Wallets ready for the most demanding use cases in production.
Advanced policy engine
We’ve upgraded the policy engine to give fine-grained control over how wallets behave:
EvmData-based policies – Set policies based on any field in a transaction. Constrain which smart contracts a wallet can interact with, which methods can be called, and what arguments are passed.
Typed message signing controls – Restrict or allow specific types of messages (EIP-712, EIP-191, arbitrary hashes), and validate exact data structures.
Custom and standard ABIs supported – Enforce policies using both standard interfaces and your own custom contract definitions.
These controls help developers secure their applications from malicious contracts, restrict actions to known-good protocols, and implement robust compliance workflows.
High-performance Solana and EVM support
Server Wallets now include robust support for Solana, purpose-built for high-throughput use cases:
225+ TPS Solana transaction sends with sub-200ms signing latency on both SOL and EVM
Solana and EVM token balance queries for any wallet
Key import and export for Solana and EVM accounts
Whether they’re powering a fast-paced trading bot or an agent that needs to act instantly onchain, CDP Server Wallets can keep up.
In addition to the richer Solana support, CDP Server Wallet smart accounts now have broader EVM network coverage. Previously available only on Base and Ethereum L1, they are now available on additional EVM networks including BNB, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Polygon, Optimism, and Zora.
Enterprise-grade security & performance
We’ve hardened Server Wallets to meet the needs of production-scale teams:
99.99% availability with globally distributed infrastructure
Sub-200ms latency for wallet creation and signing
Account import/export for both EVM and Solana keys
2FA-protected fine-grained API scopes for sensitive operations
External pentesting completed by Halborn
CDP Server Wallets are designed for the flexibility developers need to build anything onchain. Use Server Wallet in managed mode to automatically leverage CDP’s RPC Node and Paymaster services, or bring your own node for broader network support with full control.
See it in the wild
CDP’s Server Wallets are already being used in production by teams building everything from DeFi protocols to onchain agent infrastructure.
One example is Questflow Labs, a decentralized AI agent swarm platform. Bob Xu, CEO and Cofounder says, “CDP Wallets v2, powered by AWS Nitro Enclaves, provides the secure, scalable infrastructure we need to create Agent Wallets for real-time microtransactions and automated mass payments. This technology ensures trustless, high-performance workflows, empowering us to scale autonomous AI agent economy with confidence.”
