OpenDAO (SOS) is a DAO that aims to support emerging artists and their original work and NFT communities. The OpenDAO is a digital native community centered on leveling the playing field for both creators and collectors. The term DAO stands for decentralized autonomous organization, which is not governed by any central authority. OpenDAO aims to create a decentralized community of digital natives united with the goals of:
SOS is the platform's token created by the community for the community. 10% of the total SOS is reserved for liquidity rewards on the platform. The token aims to be placed in a DAO to compensate verified scam victims on OpenSea with SOS. Further, SOS aims to support emerging artists and their original work, support NFT communities, support art preservation, and create a developer's grant for participating in the SOS ecosystem. OpenSea is a marketplace with listed items in the form of unique digital collectibles (NFTs) that users can mint and trade.
The maximum total supply of the SOS token is 100 trillion.
On the platform, 20% of the total SOS token is for the staking reward. For every SOS token staked, the stakers receive veSOS in return. veSOS comes with full voting rights within the OpenDAO. veSOS can be used as the governance token in other protocols and projects and become eligible for potential airdrops.
veSOS is automatically compounded for the benefit of the user. Upon unstaking, the user will receive the original SOS plus any additional SOS from the official staking pool or other revenue sources.
