The Oxygen platform is an on-chain prime brokerage built using Serum's liquid and growing ecosystem and Solana's scalable blockchain. The Oxygen infrastructure is a pool-based system that democratizes borrowing and lending, specially designed for DeFi applications and users.
According to its whitepaper, the Serum ecosystem is a vibrant DeFi ecosystem based on Solana, backed by Alameda Research and other liquidity providers. As a result, the on-chain decentralized exchange (Dex) on Serum is liquid and efficient.
The Oxygen Protocol is powered by the OXY token, which governs and receives 100 percent of its earnings. OXY token holders control the Oxygen Protocol. Every token represents one vote, and token holders will vote on binding governance initiatives related to Oxygen Protocol.
According to the protocol, the lender receives a fraction of the yield earned and may be charged based on trading volume, asset management pools, and more. The token holders vote on binding governance initiatives related to Oxygen Protocol, each token representing one vote.
