Foire aux questions (FAQ)

Absolutely. In addition to receiving a competitive wage, interns are often also eligible for various stipends and reimbursements to cover costs such as housing and social connection activities with Coinbase colleagues.

You can apply as soon as a job posting is live. Starting in the fall, intern postings are added on a rolling basis, and each application is reviewed soon after we receive it, so don’t wait to apply! Visit our Open roles often to see the latest positions.

Internships are typically 12 weeks and start during summer break. We offer two start dates to accommodate students on either a quarter or semester system.

We have both hybrid and remote internship opportunities. Check with your recruiter to confirm where your internship might be located. No matter whether you’re remote or hybrid, you’ll get our comprehensive IT kit with everything you’ll need to work efficiently and comfortably from anywhere.

For interns required to work hybrid, you’ll get a housing stipend to offset any temporary relocation costs. For interns permitted to work fully remote, Coinbase typically organizes one or more trips to an office to build in-person relationships.

The interview process is as rigorous for Coinbase interns as it is for all our hires. The exact process will vary by team and role, but it typically includes several stages, often starting with an online assessment, followed by a recruiter screen with a team member or with our AI Recruiter. Stellar candidates are then invited to complete skills-based interviews with potential team members.

Chat with your recruiter to learn more about the specific interview process for your role.

The Intern Program is open to all students, non-students, and graduates regardless of age. We welcome candidates exploring a second career and/or candidates who returned to school to apply. Additionally, you must be living in and authorized to do work in a country where Coinbase has employees or you must seek and be approved for visa sponsorship. See FAQ about visa sponsorship to learn more.

Yes, Coinbase offers visa sponsorships for international candidates living in the United States and for Canadian citizens who are currently residing in Canada. Sponsorship is subject to approval and, if granted, is for the duration of the internship only.

If you are seeking visa sponsorship, please inform your recruiter immediately to ensure they submit a visa assessment for approval as soon as possible.
