Alien Worlds (TLM) is a decentralized metaverse that utilizes non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to create an immersive gaming experience. In this metaverse, players, known as "explorers", compete for a scarce resource called Trilium (TLM) across various planetary worlds. Alien Worlds incorporates elements of decentralized finance (DeFi), as players can stake TLM and use it to vote in Planet Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). The game is accessible to a wide range of players. The unique feature of Alien Worlds is its integration of numerous DAOs, allowing TLM coin holders to have a say in the governance of the platform.
In Alien Worlds, players may receive rewards through gameplay or participation in Planet DAOs. By mining, players can earn the native in-game currency, Trilium (TLM), or NFT packs. Players can also stake their TLM to boost their rewards or engage in battles with other users for NFTs. The amount of TLM staked influences a user's voting power in the future of the planet they are aligned with. Alien Worlds also allows players to run for candidacy to become a Councillor in more than one planet, providing a unique governance model within the game.
Alien Worlds offers a unique blend of gaming and DeFi, providing a platform where players can earn rewards through gameplay and stake their earnings to influence the governance of the game. This creates a dynamic and engaging environment that encourages active participation. The use of NFTs within the game also opens up possibilities for unique digital collectibles and assets. Furthermore, Alien Worlds aims to automate the claiming process of daily allocation to landowners in the game and intends to introduce Artifacts NFTs and NFT interoperability, expanding the potential use cases within the game.
Alien Worlds was developed in 2020 by Dacoco GmbH, a German company based in Zug, Switzerland, a hub for blockchain and crypto companies. Dacoco has created three projects to date and claims to be experts in decentralized autonomous community organizations. Alien Worlds has made progress in its roadmap, including having TLM launched and a farming period of TLM initiated.
