CVI is a full-scale decentralized ecosystem that brings the sophisticated “market fear index” into the crypto market. Built on Ethereum and Polygon, it consists of an index that tracks the 30-day implied volatility of Bitcoin and Ethereum. The index ranges between 0 and 200 and is produced based on a Black-Scholes option pricing model, which computes the implied volatility of cryptocurrency option prices together with analyzing the market’s expectation of future volatility. The Index is live and running, presenting data that can be explored here: Using the index, people can have the same insights of the market that people looking into traditional markets have using the VIX, such as: Understanding the expected Volatility of the market, developing trading strategies for short-term gains, and hedging their portfolio against price fluctuations. CVI operates a permissionless and open-source protocol so any user can participate in the development of the network. The GOVI token is the governance token of the platform, and by staking their GOVI tokens, GOVI holders can also share fees from the CVI platform distributed as rewards.

This pricing model computes the implied volatility of cryptocurrency option prices and analyzes the market's expectation of future volatility. Users can trade the CVI index, provide liquidity to get trading fees, and stake the LP tokens for providing liquidity and the GOVI token for additional rewards.
The GOVI token is an ERC-20-based token and a governance token for the platform. Users who stake the GOVI token on the platform share the platform's fees. GOVI holders may also receive a share of the collected fees. They can vote for the tradable assets, leverage used, deposit amounts, etc.
GOVI stakers can get their GOVI rewards automatically compounded within the CVI platform to benefit the project's long-term supporters. Once a user stakes the GOVI token on the CVI platform, users receive xGOVI, representing a share of the staking pool of the platform. This code of the xGOVI includes an auto-compounding feature, which means users need not claim and re-stake GOVI rewards regularly to increase their rewards. However, they can save the community time and network fees.
The total supply of GOVI is 32M tokens. Dr. Nir Haloani, Anton Suslonov, Yoni Neeman, and Tomer Armarnik are the core team members of the ecosystem.
