The EVZ Platform was created to simplify sharing electric vehicle charging infrastructure and address its unavailability. The platform aims to offer one of the first charging networking technologies. The abbreviation for Electric Vehicle Zone is EVZ. The EVZ platform aims to transform the pre-existing charging stations by removing the RFID card and replacing it with the EVZ module. The EVZ module does not require any network connections to function, because an application on a smart device can process payments and control recharging.
Users can connect wirelessly to process payments using BLE-based IoT technology, which requires Bluetooth 4.0 or higher. The whitepaper states that the platform is also planning to develop a new market in which users of electric vehicles can be paired with underutilized private-use charging stations for the mutual benefits of both providers and users.
EVZ has two incentive and payment methods—EVZ Point (EVP) and EVZ Coin (EVZ). EVP is used to pay for charging on the EVP platform and cannot be traded on the market. EVP cannot be acquired by converting or exchanging EVZ coins. To acquire EVP, a person has to purchase it with a credit card or cash.
$EVZ coin is an ERC-20 token operating in the system to pay for the services. This coin is used on any cryptocurrency exchange that accepts it as a form of payment. The market forces decide the value of the $EVZ token. Users may receive a limited number of $EVZ as a reward for qualifying purchases and activity on the platform. $EVZ tokens can be rewarded to users who install the EVZ platform on the charging systems. With the help of the EVZ platform, users can specify their fees and get paid in $EVZ coins, excluding certain minor service charges. Because $EVZ tokens may be used at various partnering businesses, recruiting existing users is easier.
