Kujira aims to be a finance, blockchain, and software development platform that builds DApps for crypto users. The whitepaper states that this platform aims to make DeFi generate income irrespective of the market being up or down and help retail traders tap potentials beyond exchange, staking, and ICOs and be at par with the big traders. 

Kujira has chosen Terra as a base of its DApp because Terra seeks to include advanced protocols, developments, and opportunities for providing beneficial products. Also, Terra seeks to bridge and integrate with other chains to expand connections into more crypto markets. 

Further, Kujira aims to achieve this integration by developing cost-effective tools for everyone, be it novice crypto enthusiasts or experienced retail traders, irrespective of their chain of choice or the amount to be traded. The platform intends to create an environment where beginners don’t have to risk more than they can afford to lose.

To fulfill this promise, Kujira introduced a DApp called ORCA that allows users to bid on discounted collaterals on Terra. ORCA does not require users to trade huge chunks of liquidity or need any technical knowledge of smart contract coding to participate in liquidation. Instead, ORCA seeks to sell assets from the lowest to the highest premium, split between bidders at a discounted rate. Smart contracts are just like regular contracts; however, instead of being drafted on paper, these contracts run in the form of protocols on the blockchain.

Apart from that, the platform consists of BLUE, a dashboard where users seek to staketokens in the liquidity pool, swap KUJI tokens, and claim many rewards. The ecosystem includes BELUGA, where users can add multiple recipients to a single transaction on Terra. Instead of filling in repetitive details for each one, BELUGA enables the users to do it in one single transaction. 

BELUGA is useful for VCs to pay members and crypto companies to pay salaries to the employees. Lastly, retail users can also use BELUGA in numerous ways. KUJI is the native utility token of the Kujira platform, which the users use to pay fees and aim to receive discounts between 50%–90% of the UST (native token of Terra) value.
