Potato is a revolutionary meme token built on the Solana network. Meme Coin is a cryptocurrency inspired by memes and internet jokes. According to its whitepaper, Potato is a truly unique community-run cryptocurrency project. The platform was developed with an aim to stand out in a sea of dog and cat meme projects, so the team created a project after the vegetable everyone in the world loves to eat.
During the launch of potatoes, the team distributed a large number of POTATO tokens to the community in the form of one hundred million potatoes per community member. The team then burns most of the remaining tokens, leaving only a small portion for exchange listings, farming/staking functions, etc., to ensure the healthy long-term growth of the project. Cryptocurrency burning is when a fraction of tokens are sent to a wallet with no private key. This means the tokens are lost forever. Tokens are usually burnt to reduce availability and increase market value.
A total of 2,500 Potato NFTs are minted at one sol per mint. NFTs play a very large and active role in the larger Potato ecosystem and the revenue can be used to ensure healthy positive growth of the Potato token.
POTATO can be traded through various decentralized and centralized exchanges including the Potato DEX. Centralized cryptocurrency exchanges are online platforms for buying and selling cryptocurrencies. The launch Potato Incentive Program rewards Potato community members who create content that brings attention to potato and grows the community.
Potato was first launched in May 2021. The Potato DEX went live in June 2021. In September 2021, potato created 2,500 NFTs. Potato burned 20 percent of the total supply in October 2021. The maximum supply of POTATO tokens is 2,500 tokens.
