Mirai is a cryptocurrency that has a dual development path. First is the MRI token. MRI is a payment token at its core, with development moving toward easy integration tools. The tools enable one-click integration with e-commerce systems for users with no prior experience. Besides this, MRI uses the proof of stake consensus mechanism. Proof of stake is a consensus mechanism for a blockchain and is used to validate transactions. Owners of cryptocurrencies can stake their coins in this system, allowing them to review new transaction blocks and add them to the blockchain.
The second path of development for Coin Mirai is Mirai AR, an augmented reality platform with a website, Android, and IOS apps. Augmented reality (AR) is a technologically upgraded version of the real world created through digital visual elements, music, or other sensory stimulation.
As the website states, Mirai AR allows users to earn MRI by creating social content. The algorithm and other users' views rate the content. The content rating is then used to calculate content creator rewards. Ratings can also affect the content's visibility on the app's map and search functions.
Technical users can contribute to the Mirai Asset Marketplace by creating assets. Content creators can use the marketplace to find assets to use in their content. Generally, there is no cost associated with using an asset. Instead, the asset creator is paid a specified percentage of the content creator's earnings. The exception is that asset creators can sell unique assets licensed to a single content creator. Additionally, creators can commission assets for a fee agreed upon with the asset provider. The Mirai platform is in charge of payment and asset distribution.
MIR was created as a voluntary swap by the team. XGOX holders had the choice of keeping their coins or switching to MIR. The first 1,500,000 coins created were offered to XGOX holders to swap their tokens for MIRAI actively.
