According to its whitepaper, the idea behind the token is to implement decentralized finance (DeFi) through the fun world of meme coins. The native token of the platform is DWGS, which aims to serve as a store of value and medium of exchange. The DAWGS coin, based on the Ethereum network's ERC-20 standard, is the backbone of the SpaceDawgs ecosystem. In contrast with the conventional practice of printing currency, the DAWGS token is deflationary. This means, the token supply diminishes over time to create scarcity and raise the price. Hence, it automatically rewards its holders by appreciating with time.
