The DCN token is the native token of Dentacoin, an ERC20 token that runs on the Ethereum network. Ethereum seeks to enable reliable and secure transactions with the Dentacoin smart contracts. Smart contracts are just like regular contracts. However, instead of being drafted on paper, these contracts run in the form of protocols on the blockchain. Besides, Dentacoin smart contacts seek to automate the transaction fees, enabling users to transact without worrying about fee payment.
Moreover, the platform plans to distribute the total funds raised during the ICO (initial coin offering). Of the funds raised through ICO, 40% is allocated to the platform's core development and 25% to operational expenses. In the first quarter of 2017, the Dentacoin Foundation was founded, and the DCN token was released. Also, the second version of the whitepaper was published on November 28, 2018.
