Despite a setback in July 2022 when Minecraft announced it would not support NFTs and blockchain technology, causing the WRLD token to decrease 60% in its worth, NFT Worlds created a new game based on the core mechanics of Minecraft. As of August 2022, there are over 590 million WRLD tokens in circulation.
